Robby Langers

Robert " Roby " Langer ( born August 1, 1960 in Luxembourg ) is a retired Luxembourgian football player.

Playing career

In 18 years as a professional football player Robert Langer played for twelve clubs, mainly in Germany, France and Switzerland.

He began his career at Union Luxembourg, where he was top scorer with 26 goals of the National Division in season 1979/80. He then moved to the Bundesliga to Borussia Monchengladbach, but where he came only three operations in two years. From 1982 to 1992 he played with varying degrees of success in France, mostly in unterklassigen clubs. From 1992 to 1994 he played in Switzerland in Yverdon -Sport FC Etoile Carouge and, for two years before he returned to Germany in 1994 to Eintracht Trier, where he played in the third-tier Regionalliga West / Southwest. He then returned to his original club Union Luxembourg, where he, interrupted by a brief stint at F91 Dudelange, his active career ended in 1998.

For the Luxembourg national Roby Langers denied 1980-1998 a total of 73 matches in which he scored eight goals.
