Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Sherbrooke

The Archdiocese of Sherbrooke (Latin: Archidioecesis Sherbrookensis ) is a location in Canada Roman Catholic archdiocese headquartered in Sherbrooke.

History

The Archdiocese of Sherbrooke was born on August 28, 1874 by Pope Pius IX. cessions of territory from the diocese of Saint- Hyacinthe and Trois Rivières and the archbishopric of Quebec erected as a diocese of Sherbrooke. It was the Archdiocese of Montreal is a suffragan. On 2 March 1951, the diocese of Sherbrooke by Pope Pius XII was. raised to an archbishopric.
