The Archdiocese of Tuxtla Gutiérrez (Latin: Archidioecesis Tuxtlensis, Spanish: Arquidiócesis de Tuxtla Gutierrez ) is a location in Mexico Roman Catholic archdiocese based in Tuxtla Gutiérrez.

History

The Archdiocese of Tuxtla Gutiérrez was born on October 27, 1964 by Pope Paul VI. with the Apostolic Constitution Cura illa out of territory of the Diocese of Chiapas established as a diocese and the Archdiocese of Tuxtla Gutierrez Antequera is a suffragan. On 25 November 2006, the Diocese of Tuxtla Gutiérrez by Pope Benedict XVI. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Mexicani populi to the archbishopric.
