Roman Savchenko

Roman Viktorovich Savchenko (Russian Роман Викторович Савченко; born July 28, 1988 in Ust- Kamenogorsk, Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh professional ice hockey player who stands since 2008 at Barys Astana in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Roman Savchenko began his career as a hockey player at youth level of Kaszink - Torpedo Ust- Kamenogorsk, for the first team he in the 2005/06 season his debut in the Wysschaja League, the second Russian league, gave. In parallel, he was from 2004 to 2007 for torpedoes second team in the third-tier league Perwaja active. In the period following the defender played in parallel for the Kazakhs in the Wysschaja League, as well as the Kazakh Cup. Internationally

For Kazakhstan Savchenko participated in the Division I of the U18 World Junior Championships in 2005 and 2006 and the Division I of the U20 World Junior Championships in 2006 and 2007 and the top division of the U-20 Junior World Championships 2008 part.

In the senior he was in the squad of Kazakhstan in the qualification for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. After the Kazakhs had won convincingly in November 2008, the first qualifying round with three wins and 31:2 gates, it passed in the second qualifying round in February 2009 with only two losses to a 8-2 success against France. Subsequently, it was also for the world championship in 2009, when the Kazakhs were playing in Division I, nominated and rose with his team thanks to five wins in five games in the top division on. In the Winter Asian Games, he won the Kazakh selection by a 4-1 win in the deciding game against Japan the gold medal. In the Olympic qualification for the Winter Games in Sochi 2014, which was held in Riga in February 2013, he failed with his team narrowly by a 2:3 defeat against the hosts.
