Ronny Philp

Ronny Philp ( born January 28, 1989 in Sibiu, Romania ) is a German football player who is under contract for the 2012/13 season at the Bundesliga FC Augsburg.

Career

A year after his birth, the parents emigrated from Ronny Philp from the Transylvanian Hermannstadt ( Sibiu) with him to Germany, and came to Fürth. It was only nine years old, he attended a training at the district club TSV Burgfarrnbach and began his club career. In 2002 he moved from the youth of the TSV for SpVgg Greuther Fürth. There he went through all the other youth teams and played in the A- youth in the U-19 Bundesliga in the 2007/ 08 season, 23 games ( 3 goals ). In 2008 he was transferred to the second team of Fürth in the Regionalliga Süd. Had he still played as a striker in his youth, he was inducted into the U -23 only in the midfield and was in his third year finally starting players in defense.

For the season 2011/12 he moved with Jim Patrick Müller in the 3rd League for SSV Jahn Regensburg. There he became an instant with good services for a regular player on the right-back position. Ironically, in the season finale he retired but in the penultimate game a ligament injury and so missed both the last encounter, in which the third place in the league was secured, and the two play-offs against Karlsruher SC, the promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga meant.

For the 2012/13 season, he joined the Bundesliga FC Augsburg, where he signed a contract valid until 2015. January 20, 2013 (18th Round ) he made his debut in the Bundesliga as his club won against Fortuna Dusseldorf 3-2.

Since 2013, Ronny Philp committed to Show Racism the Red Card - Germany eV In September he took part in a workshop of the education initiative and told the pupils about his own experiences with racism and discrimination.
