Sadali, Sardinia

Sadali is a village with 943 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) at the edge of Barbagie Seùlo in the Province of Cagliari in Sardinia. It is known for its abundance of water and its two large caves.

The nearby towns are Esterzili, Nurri, Seui (OG), Seulo and Villanova Tulo.

The center of the village is located on a steep slope, on which the " Cascata Sat Pischeria " springs. The washing area, which the local women use today, is above a waterfall that pours into a small mill pond. Adjacent the quarry stone building of the old mill. The Parish Church of St. Valentine dates from the 14th century. Not far from the church is the so-called ethnographic house " Omu e Zia Crameila ". The " Grotta de is Janas " ( cave of the fairies ), which is one of the best show caves of the island, located about 3 km outside the resort, in a holm oak forest. Another cave is the Omu e Zia Cramelia.

Sadali has a station on the narrow gauge railway line Manda -Arbatax, which is served in the summer months from Trenino Verde.
