Seinäjoki

Seinäjoki [ sɛi̯næjɔki ] is a city in western Finland.

On 1 January 2005, the city Seinäjoki with the community Peräseinäjoki was and some to the community Ilmajoki associated villages merged. This means that their area has grown from 134 square kilometers to 603 square kilometers. At the beginning of 2009 also the communities Nurmo and Ylistaro were incorporated into the city of Seinäjoki. After the fusion community Seinäjoki has over 55,000 inhabitants.
