Sereflikochisar is a city in Turkey. It is located near the Lake Tuz and belongs to the province of Ankara. The eponymous district has an area of 2128 km ². Among other things, the villages Cıngıl and Yeşilyurt belong to the city Sereflikochisar.

Population
The district has 35 353 inhabitants Sereflikochisar (as of 2008 ). Long live 27,602 inhabitants (as of 2008 ) in the city Sereflikochisar and 7,751 inhabitants in the villages. Of the 43 villages living in six villages in three villages Kurds and Tatars.
Geography
Location
Sereflikochisar bordered to the north by the Hirfanli Baraji ( Hirfanli Reservoir ) in the northeast to the county Evren, to the southeast by the Aksaray Province, in the southwest on the Lake Tuz, in the northwest of the province of Konya and to the county Bala.

By Sereflikochisar the main road E90 runs. It is a connection between Ankara and Adana.
History
Sereflikochisar was in 1467 annexed by Fatih Sultan Mehmet the Ottoman Empire. In the Ottoman Empire Sereflikochisar belonged to the province of Aksaray. 1891 Sereflikochisar was annexed the province of Konya. After Sereflikochisar a county was, it was released in 1920 returned to the province of Aksaray. After the regression of Aksaray Province in a district Sereflikochisar in 1933 a part of the province of Ankara. 1989 Sereflikochisar lost not only the chance to evolve into a province, but also the towns Sarıyahşi with its 7 villages and Ağaçören with its 27 villages in the province again in 1989 to become Aksaray Province. After 1990, the village Evren was with his nine villages themselves to a county, Sereflikochisar lost another village.
