Sergei Gimayev (ice hockey b. 1984)

Sergei Sergeyevich Gimajew (Russian: Сергей Сергеевич Гимаев; born 16 February 1984 in Cherepovets, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with HK CSKA Moscow in the Kontinental Hockey League since July 2012.

Career

Sergei Gimajew began his career as a hockey player at youth level of HK CSKA Moscow, for its second team, he was active from 1999 to 2002 in the third-class Perwaja league. Then the defender joined Severstal Cherepovets, for which he ran aground in the following two years in the Super League, before moving to the beginning of the 2004/05 season to their league rivals HK Sibir Novosibirsk. For the club until the end of season in 31 games he scored a goal and had six assists. Then he received a contract with the reigning champions HK Dynamo Moscow, for he stood in the following two seasons on the ice. After the links Sagittarius had spent the 2007/08 season with his former club Severstal Cherepovets, he became the next season of Barys Astana of the Kontinental Hockey League committed, for which he gave two assists in 45 games.
