Shamil Khisamutdinov

Shamil Shamhat Dino Chissamutdinow Malevich (Russian Шамиль Шамшатдинович Хисамутдинов, Tatar Шамил Шәмсетдин улы Хисаметдинов, born September 20, 1950 in Uslowaja, Tula Oblast, Russian SFSR ) is a former Soviet wrestler. He was Olympic champion in Munich in 1972 in Greco-Roman wrestling in lightweight.

Career

Chissamutdinow is of Tatar origin and comes from the Tula Oblast. He started in 1963 as a teenager with the rings. He quickly developed into an outstanding wrestler in the Greco- Roman style, and, after his talent was recognized, delegated to the sports club " Spartak " Moscow. There, he found excellent training conditions and received in Nikolai Parkhomenko, a very successful former heavyweight wrestler, an outstanding coach.

He celebrated his first major success in 1971 with the victory at the V. Völkerspartakiade the Soviet Union. He won there in Greco-Roman wrestling in lightweight ago Umerow and Moloschdin. It was used at the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972. He was there in great shape and was charged with six wins Olympic gold medalist. In 1974, he was only used at the European Championships in Madrid, where he won again. At the World Cup he was injured and was replaced successfully by Nelson Dawidjan. In 1975 he was at the World Championships in Minsk at the start again and won in 1973 after his second world title. His closest competitors were doing Heinz -Helmut Wehling, Andrzej Supron and Binju Tschifudow from Bulgaria. Chissamutdinow sat against these wrestlers but through safely.
