Berchem -Sainte -Agathe (French ) or Sint -Agatha - Berchem (Dutch ) is a town on the western edge of the Brussels Capital Region. It borders the municipalities in Brussels Ganshoren, Koekelberg and Molenbeek-Saint-Jean/Sint-Jans-Molenbeek and to the Flemish municipalities aces and Dilbeek.

The municipality begins immediately behind the National Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the Koekelberg, which is thus the most important point of orientation, but without even being part of the community.

Center of the municipality is the Albert Schweitzer place at the Chaussée de Gand / Gentse Steenweg, an arterial road to the northwest.

Berchem has a railway station of the state railway on the road to Ghent and is served by the tram lines 19, 82 and 83.
