Solec, Opole Voivodeship
Altzülz, Polish Solec, is a town in Upper Silesia. Altzülz located in the municipality Zülz ( Biała) in Prudnicki powiat (district Neustadt OS) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Altzülz is located five kilometers east of the parish seat Zülz, 13 kilometers northeast of the county town of Prudnik ( Neustadt OS) and 35 kilometers southwest of the Opole voivodship ( Opole ).

History
The place was first mentioned on May 16, 1285. 1534 the site was mentioned as Soletz.
In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 167 voters voted to remain in Germany and 25 for Poland. Altzülz remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 252 inhabitants in the village. 1939, the place had 243 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Neustadt OS.
In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Solec and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to powiat Prudnicki. On 6 March 2006 the German Altzülz was in the community Zülz, plays, introduced as a second official language. 2008, the City also received the official German place names Altzülz.
