Solrød Municipality

The Solrød municipality is a Danish municipality of Køge Bugt the north of Køge in the Region Sjælland. It is connected both by highway and by the S -Bahn with Copenhagen and has developed especially in the 1970s. Districts are Solrød beach and Jersie beach on the coast as well as the actual Solrød and Jersie inland. The municipality covers 40.10 km ², and has 21,145 inhabitants ( 1 January 2013).
