South Africa at the 2008 Summer Paralympics

South Africa participated with 58 athletes at the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing, China. Flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the swimmer Natalie du Toit. She was also the most successful athlete of the South African team with five gold medals. In the medals table South Africa occupied the 6th place as the best nation on the African continent.
