The St. Andrew's Stadium is the football stadium of the English professional football club Birmingham City.

History

The original stadium was built in 1905, could accommodate over 75,000 spectators and was opened in 1906 with a match between Birmingham City and FC Middlesbrough. During the Second World War, the stadium was destroyed and rebuilt at the beginning of the 1950s again. In October 1956, was held under floodlights with a 3-3 draw against Borussia Dortmund the first game.

From 1994, the stadium was completely renovated and modernized, among other things, it was converted into a complete seat arena. After completion of renovation, it now offers just over 30,000 visitors.

As one big grandstand, the Tilton Road End draws with the Spion Kop around a longitudinal and a Hintertorseite around the playing field.
