Stare Cimochy

Stare Cimochy ( German: to 1929 Old Czymochen, 1929-1945 Finsterwalde ) is a scoring for community Kalinowo village in the northeastern Mazury in Polish Warmia - Masuria, Elk County.

Geography

The village is located 4.5 km east of the village Kalinowo ( German calligrapher Owen ) at a leading Maze by Ginie highway.

History

Old Czymochen was founded in 1474.

With the Prussian government reform on 27 May 1874, the village belonged administratively as a rural community to the Official District Kalli Owen in the district of Lyck, which included, in addition Alt Czymochen the communities cod, Went, Iwaschken, Kalli Owen, Kokosken, Kowahlen, mesh, Marczynowen, Pientken and Trentowsken.

On December 1, 1910 135 inhabitants were counted in Old Czymochen.

Old Czymochen was renamed Masurian origin in Finsterwalde in the wake of increasing Germanization of place names on June 18, 1929 what ciemmy by deriving from the Slavic word underlying the place-names Czymochen for sinister happened.

1931, the District Kalli Owen was restructured with now associated villages Blumental ( Pientken ) Dluggen, cod, sinister forest, Went, Hennberg ( Kokosken ) Iwaschken, Kalli Owen, Kolle popper, Kreuzborn, Maaschen, Martin Height ( Marczynowen ) and Prawdzisken.

1933 are listed 143 inhabitants in Finsterwalde (Alt Czymochen ).

1939 Finsterwalde only 129 inhabitants.

After the end of World War II in 1945 to the German Empire ( East Prussia ) belonging Finsterwalde fell to Poland. The resident population was German, if they had not fled, largely expelled after 1945 and replaced in addition to the traditional Masurian minority by new residents from other parts of Poland. The town was renamed in Stare Cimochy.

From 1975 to 1998 belonged Cimochy Stare at that Suwałki Voivodeship, then came 1999 on the newly formed Warmia and Mazury.
