Staunau
Staunau was a manufacturer of ice machines and hoists in Hamburg- Harburg. After the Second World War a short time were also produced small cars.
Karl -Heinz Staunau decided at the end of the 1940s, to participate in the small car boom of the incipient economic miracle. A visit to the engine manufacturer Ilo had brought him to this idea. Staunau let construct two types, both of which were equipped with two-cylinder two -stroke engines of Ilo. They had four wheels, could accommodate four people and had front wheel drive. Economically successful production was not. Type K 400 ( with three-speed gearbox) 64 pieces in 1950/ 51 were made , the larger type K 750 ( with four-speed gearbox ) it brought at the same time to 16 pieces.
The K 400 cost 4752 DM, the K 750 6,457 DM
