The Life of a Doctor ( Original title: Strange Lady in Town ) is an American Western Mervyn LeRoy in 1955 with Greer Garson and Dana Andrews in the lead roles.

Action

Dr. Julia Winslow Garth 1880 leaves them of the native Boston to start a new life in the American West. She moved to Santa Fe, where her brother Lt.. David Garth is stationed with the army. Background

Warner Brothers ' The Life of a doctor Greer Garsons first film was in a different studio after their many successful years at MGM. Originally, the Western on location in Santa Fe should be rotated. However, studio head Jack L. Warner decided for reasons of cost for Tucson, Arizona, where then Gabriel Scognamillo was responsible for the Filmbauten. The costumes were designed by Emile Santiago. During the filming of Garson plagued serious health problems. In October 1954, she was finally admitted to a hospital, where her appendix had to be removed.
