Tahkuranna Parish

Tahkuranna ( German: Tackerort ) is an Estonian rural municipality in the district of Pärnu with an area of 103.4 km ².

Tahkuranna is located approximately 46 km south of Parnu. The rural municipality has 2010 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2006). In addition to the main town Võiste, which was first mentioned in 1601, it includes the villages Laadi, Leina, Lepaküla, Metsaküla, Piirumi, Reiu, Tahkuranna and Uulu.

Impressive is the long sandy beach on the Gulf of Riga. The economy has traditionally focused on fishing and forestry.

Tahkuranna is the birthplace of the first Estonian President Konstantin Pats, reminiscent of the now a monument.
