Thiago Alcántara do Nascimento (* 11 April 1991 in San Pietro Vernotico, Italy ), called Thiago, is a Spanish- Brazilian footballer who is under contract with FC Bayern Munich since July 2013.

Youth and FC Barcelona

Thiago was born in Italy, since his father Mazinho, who played professionally football itself and in 1994 Brazil became world champion, was at this time in the U.S. Lecce under contract. Thiago moved with his father soon returned to Brazil, however, came at the age of five years to Spain when his father played for Celta Vigo.

He was taken from FC Barcelona under contract in 2005. His debut in the first team he was on 17 May 2009 ( 36th Round ) in the 1-2 defeat in the away match against RCD Mallorca. Thiago's Pep Guardiola's brother Pere negotiated contract with Barcelona wrote a transfer fee of 90 million euro firm, should he come in 60% of games at least 30 minutes to use. National

After Alcántara had already come for the U -17 and U-18 national team for the use he made his debut on May 21, 2009 in Tallinn in a 5-1 victory for the U-19 national team against the selection of the Czech Republic, as he prepares for Fran Mérida came on in the 86th minute. Thiago is the son of former footballer Mazinho, the 1994 world champion with Brazil, and the former volleyball player Valéria Alcántara. Its almost two years younger brother Rafa plays for FC Barcelona, his cousin Rodrigo for Benfica.

Thiago's girlfriend called Julia vigas. She is co-owner of a hotel.
