Holger Badstuber ( 2012)
Holger Badstuber ( born March 13, 1989 in Memmingen ) is a German footballer of FC Bayern Munich. His position is central defense, some of it is also used as a left-back.
Origin and education
Holger Badstuber grew up in Rot an der Rot, Biberach district, as one of two siblings. His parents supported him early in his football career and accompanied him regularly for training to the remote Stuttgart and later to Munich ( his father died in March 2009 to his battle with cancer, a few weeks after the conclusion of Badstubers first professional contract ). There he made his diploma at the boarding school of FC Bayern Munich. His community service completed Badstuber at the Bavarian State School for the disabled.
Career
Clubs
For the youth of the TSV Rot an der Rot emerged in 1890 eV, Badstuber came on the youth department of VfB Stuttgart 2002 youth of the FC Bayern Munich. In the 2006/07 season he played with Bavaria A-Juniors in the Under-19 Bundesliga and has been used there in 20 games. The center-back was used in the amateurs as a defensive midfielder in order to improve his game overview. His debut in the newly created third league was Badstuber 27 July 2008 (1st Round ) 2-1 win at home to 1.FC Union Berlin; He played 32 times and scored three goals. Having already completed a part of pre-season 2008/ 09 with the first team of the championship record, he signed on 1 February 2009, valid until 2011 professional contract. His first Bundesliga game Badstuber graduated 8 August 2009 (1st Round ) 1-1 draw at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim; He played 90 minutes. On November 28, 2012, the 14th matchday of the 2012/13 season, Badstuber played his 100th Bundesliga game. In the subsequent league game on 1 December 2012 against Borussia Dortmund he retired in the 35th minute a cruciate ligament injury to and fell from first for about six months. In February 2013 he extended his contract with Bayern for another three years until the year 2017. Bayern won in 2013 without Badstuber the treble of Champions League, Cup and DFB-Pokal. Due to an addition that occurred during the healing process re- rupture it turned out longer. In February 2014 he took as part of his rehab on with their training.
National
On 14 November 2007 Badstuber debuted in the U-19 national team in the 1-0 victory against England. His second and last game he played on 27 May 2008 in a 5-2 win against Slovakia. On September 3, 2008 Badstuber debuted in the U-20 national team in a 4-2 win over Austria. The participation in the U -20 World Cup in Egypt in September 2009, however, Badstuber said on so as not to lose his place in the Bundesliga.
On August 11, 2009, he first played for the U- 21 team when he came off the bench in the 1-3 defeat against Turkey in the 59th minute for Mats Hummels. His first goal he scored in a 3-0 success of the U- 21 through Slovenia on 9 October 2009.
Appointed on May 6, 2010 by Germany coach Joachim Loew in the extended squad for the World Cup 2010, he made his debut in the senior team on 29 May in Budapest in a 3-0 win in the Test match against Hungary, when he was in 71 minutes came in to replace Arne Friedrich.
Against Australia on 13 June and against Serbia on 18 June 2010, he completed his only two World Cup games. Against Serbia, he was replaced in the 77th minute for Mario Gómez. Because of his poor performance and his problems with his opponent Miloš Krasić participated in the following games and Jerome Boateng in the final phases Marcell Jansen 's position. In contrast to the club where he has his position in central defense and just helping out the outside was used, he was called up at the World Cup as the nominal Fullback.
