Tiến Quân Ca

Tiến Quân ca ( song of the advancing troops ) is the national anthem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam since 1946, when Vietnam was still a democratic republic. Actually, there is the current national anthem of only the first verse of the march of the advancing troops. Composer and lyricist Nguyễn Văn Cao 's (1923 - 1995). Right after the release of the song, it became the main songwriter of the Việt Minh. Sung in the time of the " August Revolution" in 1945, instead of the verse " Đoàn Quân Việt Nam đi " ( " troops in Vietnam march " ) in the " Việt Minh " " Đoàn Quân Việt Minh đi " ( " troops of the Việt Minh march " ).

Publication

In the winter of 1944 met Văn Cao Mr. Vũ Quý, a cadre of the Việt Minh, in Hanoi train station. Vũ Quý itself is an acquaintance of Văn Cao which brought him to patriotic songs such as Dong Đa, Thang Long Hanh Khuc ca, .... Vũ Văn Cao Quý recommended to stay away from the revolutionary activities in order to write a march for the troops of the Việt Minh. Văn Cao wrote the song in the Nguyen Thuong Hiền - Road 45 He also wrote to a license from July 1976 as follows: "... I wrote a song currently. I still do not know the basis for the march, I only know the streets Ga Street, Hang Bong - Road Bo Ho - road to my way here. Văn Cao said that the song title and the lyrics are a continuation of the song Thang Long Hanh Khuc ca: "Together back to the fortress Thang Long" and the song Dong Đa: "Song of the advancing troops who scream in the jungle " ... should. The song Tiến Quân about was finally printed on the culture page of the newspaper Độc LAP in November 1944 with the help of the print version of Văn Cao. As Nguyễn Đình Thi heard this song, he was touched and recommended everyone to write a song about the Việt Minh. Therefore Nguyễn Đình Thi wrote the song Diet Phát XIT ( Bring the fascists to ). Văn Cao wrote again a song with the name Việt Nam Chiến Sĩ ( soldiers of Vietnam ). Both songs have been widely used in public.

National anthem

On August 13, 1945 Hồ Chí Minh examined officially the song Tiến Quân ca, to make it the anthem of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. On August 17, 1945, it was played at the meeting of people from Hanoi's Opera. When Opernplatzfest Vietnam flag was hoisted to his tune on 19 August 1945.

On 2 September 1945, the song Tiến Quân ca was officially listed by the liberation orchestra under the baton of định Ngọc Liên on the day the Declaration of Independence at Ba - Dinh Square. A day before the performance, met the musicians định Ngọc Liên and Nguyễn Văn Cao Hữu Hiếu with to even make minor changes to it.

In 1946, the Parliament decided to make the song the anthem. In the first Constitution of Vietnam has been written: " The national anthem is the song Tiến Quân ca". In 1955 the composer was invited to the fifth meeting of the Parliament, to change some passages of the anthem.

Even after the union of the two halves of the country to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on July 2, 1976 remained Tiến Quân about the national anthem. In 1981 it was decided to change the anthem. A competition was opened after more than a year. This competition did not return. The song Tiến Quân ca is still the anthem of Vietnam.
