Tipaza Province
The Tipaza or Tipasa Province (Arabic ولاية تيبازة, DMG Wilāyat Tībāza ) is a province ( wilaya ) in northern Algeria.
The province is located on the Mediterranean coast, about 50 km west of the capital Algiers, its area is 1,700 km2.
Around 469,000 people ( 2006 estimate ) live in the province, the population density is thus approximately 276 inhabitants per square kilometer.
The provincial capital is Tipasa. For literary honor, the city came by the story " Homecoming after Tipasa " of the Algerian-born French writer Albert Camus.
