TNT (TV channel)

Turner Network Television (TNT) is an American television channel, which is broadcast via cable. Turner Network Television was founded by media mogul Ted Turner and began his broadcasting on October 3, 1988 at his favorite film Gone with the Wind. TNT is owned by the Turner Broadcasting System, part of the Time Warner Group. Since 2007, TNT has launched a number of local versions of the transmitter in Germany, Spain and Turkey.

Orientation

While TNT in the 1990s mainly radiated older films, TV shows and sports broadcasts and slowly began to broadcast their own series, relaunched under the title We Know Drama was launched in June 2001. This unique serial productions should be brought to the fore.

Former series

Internationally

European, Australian, Latin American and Asian versions of TNT were already started in the 1990s. However, these devoted themselves exclusively movies, especially from the archives of MGM and Warner Brothers. The European, Australian and Asian versions of the channel eventually became Turner Classic Movies (TCM). TCM is still in operation and will continue to send MGM and Warner Brothers films like TNT did originally.

Germany

In January 2009, Germany launched a version of TNT as TNT series. The channel shows the German premiere of 30 Rock and Friday Night Lights, as well as a variety of old and recent American series, including Murder, She Wrote, Northern Exposure, Monk, Third Watch - use the limit, Rescue Me, Six Feet Under - Died is always ER - Emergency Room, King of Queens, Everybody Loves Raymond and Caroline in the City. TNT series exudes the television series with two audio channels. One with the original English soundtrack and synchronized with the audio.

In June 2009, the German version of TCM was restarted as TNT movie. TNT film is thus by Boomerang (2006), Cartoon Network and TNT series (both 2007), the fourth German Turner channel.

Spain

In the summer of 2007, TNT was in the Spanish pay- TV. Thus, this is the 6th Turner channel in Spain after Turner Classic Movies, Turner Classic Movies Clásico, Cartoon Network, Boomerang and CNN , a joint venture between Turner Broadcasting and the Spanish Sogecable.

Turkey

A local version of TNT launched the broadcast in Turkey in March 2008.
