Torsten Mueller (musician)

Torsten Müller ( born November 25, 1957 in Hamburg ) is a German jazz and improvisational musicians ( bassist ).

Miller got the mid-1970s to improvise music. He was a member of the Free Music Communion ( with Herbert Janssen and Udo Berger), with whom he recorded three albums. He was also a period of ten years at the improvisational ensembles King Übü Örchestrü to Wolfgang Fuchs. Under the name of Carte Blanche he has performed with Günter Christmann. From 1976 to 2001 he worked as a musician and producer at Radio Bremen.

Müller joined the world in concerts with musicians such as Evan Parker, John Russell, Jon Rose, Joëlle Léandre, John Zorn, Arto Lindsay, Alexander von Schlippenbach, Paul Lovens, Phil Minton, Charles Gayle, Melvyn Poore, Marilyn Lerner and Peter van Bergen.

In 2001 he moved to Vancouver, where he became a member of Dylan van der Schyffs band X and founded with van der Schyff and Paul Rutherford, the group Hoxha.
