Trine Haltvik

Trine Haltvik ( born March 23, 1965 in Trondheim ) is a Norwegian handball coach and a former handball player.

Playing career

Trine Haltvik played in their hometown at Byåsen IL, with whom she was Norwegian champion five times. In the 1999/2000 season she ran on the Spanish side BM Remudas, then she returned to Byåsen IL. In 1998 she was elected to the world handball player of the year. In 2006, she ended her career and was then for the third time mother. Haltvik celebrated in October 2010 her comeback at the former Norwegian first division Selbu IL, where she ran aground with her first-born daughter Katinka. In March 2011 Haltvik declared that it would finally end her career due to shoulder discomfort. Despite this announcement, she ran in the 2011/12 season again on the relegated Selbu IL.

Haltvik played 240 international matches for the Norwegian national team, with whom she won the European Championship in 1998 and the 1999 World Cup. She took in 1988, 1996 and 2000 participated in the Olympic Games, where she won the silver in 1988 and 2000 the bronze medal.

Coaching career

Haltvik was before her first End of career as a coach in the junior area of the Norwegian Handball Association actively, where she is still active today. In the summer of 2012, the Norwegian also took over Selbu IL, where she took over as coach of her partner Eskil Berg Andreassen.
