Trond Giske

Trond Giske ( born November 7, 1966 in Trondheim ) is a Norwegian social democratic politician.

Giske studied economics, political science and law at the University of Oslo and NTNU ( Norwegian University of Science and Technology ) in Trondheim.

He was head of the Social Democrats boys ( ON ) Regulations 1992 to 1996.

Giske first time in 1997 Member of the Storting for Sør -Trøndelag. Trond Giske was minister of the church, education and research in the first cabinet of Jens Stoltenberg of March 17, 2000 to October 19, 2001. Between 17 October 2005 and October 20, 2009 he was Minister of Culture and Church Affairs in the second cabinet Stoltenberg, from October 20, 2009 Economic Development and Trade Minister.
