Troy Findley

Troy Findley ( born July 11, 1964 in Lawrence, Kansas) is an American politician. Between 2009 and 2011 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Kansas.

Career

Troy Findley attended the public schools of his home, including the Lawrence High School, graduating in 1982. In 1990 he graduated from the University of Kansas. He then worked in the banking industry. At the same time he proposed as a member of the Democratic Party launched a political career. Between 1995 and 2003 he sat as an MP in the House of Representatives from Kansas. From 2003 to 2005 he worked for Governor Kathleen Sebelius as liaison ( Legislative Liaison ). After that, he was chief of staff until 2009.

After Sebelius had been appointed on 28 April 2009 for U.S. health minister in the Cabinet Obama, Vice Governor Mark Parkinson became her successor in the office of the Governor of Kansas. This called Troy Findley on May 14 of the same year as his deputy. A post he held until 10 January 2011. Among other things, he was responsible during this period for the energy policy of his country and fought for renewable energy. Findley is a member of several organizations and associations. With his wife Jennifer he has a son; the family lives in Topeka.
