Two Eleven or 2/ 11 is the sixth studio album by American singer Brandy. The album was released on 19 October, 2012.
Background
First, initial reports indicated in 2009 that Brandy would then produce the album with The-Dream, Pharrell Williams, Ne- Yo, Stargate, Tricky Stewart. At that time she was still with Epic under contract and closed in addition a management deal with Jay- Z's from Roc Nation. One of these collaborations was the song " Louboutins ", which later Jennifer Lopez released as a single, after Brandy parted from the record company Epic and shortly thereafter by Roc Nation. After the separation of Epic she began writing new songs with producers Sean & Kadis to work.
In the winter of 2009 Brandy headed to a hip-hop lastigeren sound, with an impromptu rap of her alter egos Bran'Nu and beats from producer and rapper Timbaland. At that time she was under contract with Knockout Entertainment and placed two of her rap songs on Timbaland's Shock Value II Timbaland was impressed by her skills as a rapper after she saw an uploaded of her on YouTube Rapvideo. This led to joint work on songs for her sixth album under the label Mosley Music Group. In the end, however, as she told in various talk shows, the singer felt persuaded to act as MC and regretted it afterwards. Moreover - inspired by the success of her colleague Monica - to the album from the "true R & B" of the 1990s are affected and include songs " from the heart and soul " and " with goose bumps ." So she told the magazine Rolling Stone:
