The University of Westminster (English University of Westminster ) is a modern university with four campuses in the city of London. At the University of Westminster to study a total of about 22,000 students, including about 5,000 from 150 different nations (2008).

The university was founded in 1838 as the Royal Polytechnic Institution. In 1881 it was renamed the Regent Street Polytechnic, 1970 in Polytechnic of Central London ( PCL). Since 1992 she bears its present name. The motto of the university is Educating for Professional Life.
