Václav Skuhravý

Václav Skuhravý ( born January 16, 1979 in Czechoslovakia) is a Czech professional ice hockey player who plays for HC Energie Karlovy Vary in the Czech Extraliga since 2002. His contract runs until 2013.

Career

Václav Skuhravý began his career in the youth of the HC Karlovy Vary, for whom he debuted in the Extraliga at the end of the season 1998/99. The following season he played for Ytong Brno in the U20 Extraliga and third-rate second league Czech Republic, before moving to HC Rabat Kladno 2000. In the following two years he played mainly for Kladno in the Extraliga, but came again and again to inserts in the first second-rate league for the SK Kadan. In the summer of 2002, he moved back to his hometown club to Karlovy Vary, where he plays since then. Both in the 2005 /06 and 2006 /07 he was the player with the most penalty minutes of the Extra Liga. The following season, he reached with his team the playoff final against HC Slavia Prague. This series won Slavia 4:3, so that the HC Energie Karlovy Vary Czech only runner-up was. A year later he won the Czech championship with Karlovy Vary.

Internationally

Václav Skuhravý has only participated in a world championship in his career, but has been called since 2005, always for preparation games and tournaments of Euro Hockey League in the national squad. At the Ice Hockey World Championship for Men 2008, he was employed in two games.
