Vadim Khomitsky

Vadim Vladimirovich Chomizki (Russian Вадим Владимирович Хомицкий; born July 21, 1982 in Woskressensk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is since May 2013 in Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod of the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Vadim Chomizki began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of Chimik Woskressensk, for the first team, he made his debut in the Wysschaja League, the second Russian league in the season 1999/2000. Towards the end of his rookie year joined the defenders within the Wysschaja League for HK CSKA Moscow, with the rise reached him in the 2001/ 02 season in the Super League. In the following four years he was a regular player at CSKA, with which he eliminated in the season 2005/ 06 until the second playoff round.

The 2006/07 season began Chomizki at the Iowa Stars in the American Hockey League. Their owners, the Dallas Stars, the Russians had already selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2000 in the fourth round as a total of 123 players, but then never contracted. In the Iowa Stars in nine games he scored a goal and prepare six hits before. He then returned to his native Russia and ended the season in Moskovskaya Oblast Chimik. The 2007/08 season he joined the Iowa Stars and finished it in Moskovskaya Oblast Chimik. From the 2008/ 09 season, the former national player for Atlant Mytischtschi stood in the Kontinental Hockey League newly founded on the ice. This name was chosen establishing the KHL Chimik Moskovskaya Oblast.

In May 2011 Chomizki was obliged by Ak Bars Kazan and completed in the next two years playing almost 90 KHL games for the club before moving to Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in May 2013.

Internationally

For Russia Chomizki participated in the 2006 World Cup, as well as 2005 and 2006, at the Euro Hockey Tour in part. In 20 international matches it ready in the course of these three tournaments before four goals.

Chomizki is married to the former Russian figure skaters Maria Butyrskaya, with whom he has two children.
