Vilamarxant
Villamarchante ( Valencian Vilamarxant ) is a municipality of the state of Valencia ( Communidad de Valencia) in Spain. At the same time it belongs to the province of Valencia and to the Province District Campo de Turia. The national and provincial capital of Valencia is 24 km away. The name Villamarchante is made up of two words: the word "villa " Villa and = " marchante " = dealer / customer.
Geography
Villamarchante is located on the right bank of the River Turia ( Turia ), which once flowed through the city of Valencia and is now diverted around the city and flows on the Costa del Azahar in the Gulf of Valencia. The community Villamarchante covers an area of approximately 71.1 km ² and has 9414 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). Approx. 25 % of the area is covered by forests. History
