Vítkovice (Semily District)

Vitkovice ( German Witkowitz) is a municipality in Okres Semily, Liberec Region in the Czech Republic. It is located in the Giant Mountains in the valley of the Jizera ( Small Iser).

History

The town was first mentioned in 1606 and had a glass factory, which was owned by the family Preußler. From the mid-19th century made ​​Witkowitz a municipality in the district court České Budějovice.
