Vakeaton Quamar ( * July 21 1985 in Homer, Louisiana) " from" wafer is an American professional basketball player who last stood since the end of 2011 at the Orlando Magic in the NBA under contract.

Career

After his time in high school in Lisbon, Louisiana, wafer went in 2003 to the Florida State University, where he was active for the Florida State Seminoles. In his second and final year there, he was able to achieve an average of 12.5 points per game and hit 65 three-point throws, what each meant the best value of his team.

Wafer reported subsequently to the NBA Draft 2005, although he previously some NBA experts predicted that he would not be drafted. So he was not invited to the annual pre-draft camp in Chicago, which gives players the opportunity to show their skills in front of NBA executives and thus to draw attention to themselves. Irving Thomas, who scout the Los Angeles Lakers and earlier actively at Florida State University, observed wafer during his senior season in 2004 /05 and gave him a workout with the Lakers. There he was able to convince those responsible with his services and was subsequently drafted in round 2 at 39 out of the LA Lakers. However, due to an injury he played no more than a preseason game and moved on to season 2006/ 07, therefore, to the Colorado 14ers in the NBA D- League, where he was even named in January 2007 Player of the Month. A month later, he signed a contract for ten days at the Los Angeles Clippers, for which he came only a minute to use and could not generate any point. In April 2007, the Denver Nuggets him committed for the rest of the NBA season 2006/07. Some months later, however, he was further transferred in exchange for Taurean Green to the Portland Trail Blazers. Previously, he had obtained for the Nuggets in eight games average 10.9 points. After he came barely use in the Trail Blazers, the Houston Rockets took him under contract. There he was able to play with good performances in the foreground and even replace the injured failing Tracy McGrady. In the game against the Los Angeles Lakers on January 13, 2009, he succeeded his Career High 23 points in 39 minutes of playing time.

After 63 games in the 2008/ 09 season for the Rockets moved from wafer in August 2009 to Europe for Greek giants and Euro League hopefuls Olympiakos Piraeus, where he signed a two -year contract with a base salary of 10 million U.S. dollars. After poor performance of the contract was dissolved again in December 2009 after just three months.

After a contract for 10 days with the Dallas Mavericks, but for which he did not play, joined wafers for 2010/ 11 to the Boston Celtics.
