History

The territory of the municipality Vorbach belonged to Rentamt Amberg and the district court Eschenbach of the Electorate of Bavaria. 1818 originated with the municipality edict in Bavaria, the forerunner of today's church. The church today Vorbach was formed on 1 January 1978 at the Bavarian municipal reform of the former municipalities Vorbach and Oberbibrach.

Personalities

On September 13, 1723 organist and composer Johann Baptist Rüder ( rude ) was born in Oberbibrach. He died on 7 April 1807 in Amberg.
