Vyšehořovice

Vyšehořovice ( German Wischerowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers south of Čelákovice and belongs to Okres Praha- východ. In the village there are three medieval ruins that are left to decay since the 17th century.

Geography

Vyšehořovice is on the left above the valley of Výmola at the junction of the Central Bohemian highlands to Bohemian table. East of the village rises the hill Svědčí Hůra (252 m) and in the northeastern Skřivánek (243 m). North of the highway E 11 / E 67 passes, the next exit 8 is Jirny. South of the village there are several disused quarries, clay pits are operated in the West.

Neighboring towns are Kozovazy in the north, Nový Dvůr in the northeast, Vykáň in the east, in the southeast Černíky, Břežany II and Tuklaty in the south, and Tlustovousy Horoušany the southwest, Jirny in the west and Nehvizdy and Nehvízdky in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Wissegoreuiric took place in 1178, when Duke Soběslav II before leaving the lords of Vratišov associated Vorwerkshof the Kollegiatskapitel Vyšehrad. The applied with a regular floor plan village was probably built in the course of colonization in the second half of the 13th century. In the 14th century by the building of the church and on the Vorwerkshof arose a mighty castle with prismatic tower, the seat of the Vladiken of Vyšehořovice was. The village was located partly in the possession of the chapter, the other part belonged to the castle. Since 1391, the settlement Kozowaz is documentary evidence. At the end of the 14th century, the church had come to share the Vladiken of Vyšehořovice. After Prokop had moved from his seat to Vyšehořovice Nehvizdy, the citizens of Prague's Old Town Zikmund Rokycanský († 1413 ) was owner of the fort. In the following hundred years, the owner of the Vladikensitzes changed several times. 1524 bought the New Town and Old Town the goods as jointly owned. Three years later Vyšehořovice came in the division of property between the two cities for Neustadt. Because participation in the anti-Habsburg uprising in 1547 Ferdinand I confiscated their goods. Vyšehořovice were the Bohemian Kronherrschaft Přerov nad Labem connected and the castle was no longer used henceforth as a residence but as a farmyard. 1601 Maria Magdalena von Lobkowicz received the goods as collateral for a loan to war chest and since 1608 belonged Vyšehořovice also inherited her husband Jan Rudolf Trček of Lipa, the owner of the domain Kounice. During the Thirty Years' War, the village was destroyed by the troops of the Swedish General Banér. 1665 went out the parish, it was renewed in 1765 and built in the years 1769-1770 a new church. Starting in 1760 were the Liechtenstein owner of the village. 1799 suggested the Russian army of Marshal Suvorov on the retreat from Italy and Switzerland in the area its winter quarters on.

After the abolition of patrimonial Vyšehořovice formed in 1850 a municipality in the district Český Brod. Since 1961, the community is part of the Okres Praha- východ.

The municipality consists of the villages Vyšehořovice Kozovazy ( Kosowas ) and Vyšehořovice ( Wischerowitz ) and the settlement Župava.

  • Ruins of the castle on the estate
  • Ruins of the Romanesque-Gothic church of St. Martin, next to the new church. It was consecrated in 1329 by the Auxiliary Bishop of Prague Přibyslav. 1677 burned the church from along with the bell tower. Since the parish was abolished in 1665 and the village gepfarrt after Bříství, the church was not rebuilt
  • Baroque church of St. Martin, after 1768, the parish had been renewed, was the demolition of most of the ruined church and next to her remains was built during the years 1769-1770 a new church
  • Ruins of gothic bell tower, west of the church. The massive stone structure with a square plan was probably in the second half of the 15th century. He was also destroyed in the church fire of 1677 and remained a ruin.
