Wang Huning

Wang Huning (王 沪宁Chinese, Pinyin Wáng Huning; * October 1955 in Shanghai) is a politician in the People's Republic of China and since November 2012 Member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China.

Wang studied 1972-1977 French at the East China Normal University. From 1978 to 1981, he studied international politics at Fudan University and received the degree Master of Law. He then worked as a teacher at this university, most recently from 1994 to 1995 as Dean of the Faculty of Law. During this time as a university teacher, he was 1988-1989 Visiting Professor at the University of Iowa and the University of California, Berkeley.

In April 1984 he joined the Communist Party of China.

In 1995 he moved to Beijing for Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee, which he is Director since 2002. In this role, he was a leading political adviser and speechwriter of the Communist Party general secretaries Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao. He participated in drafting the policy guidelines of the triple Represents Jiang 's and the scientific theory of evolution with Hu's essential.

Since 2002 he was a member of the Central Committee and from 2007 to 2012 of the Secretariat of the Central Committee. In November 2012, Wang was selected at the 18th Congress as a member of the Politburo of the CCP.
