World Short Track Speed Skating Championships
The World Championships in short track speed skating are organized by the International Skating Union ( ISU) organized international championships in short track speed skating. The ISU organized since 1976, international competitions, but it was only in 1981, the first official World Championships were held. The previous championships were declared after the fact to the world championships. The World Championships are held annually at the end of the World Cup season, mostly in March.
There are awarded in men and women titles in the heptathlon of the season and the individual sections is 500 m, 1000 m, 1500 m and 3000 m. In the all-around all four individual Course Results are ranked, the First place gets over every track 34, the second 21, the third 13, the fourth 8, the Fifth and the Sixth 5 3 points. The top eight athletes after competitions over 500 m, 1000 m and 1500 m run then in 3000 m Super Final to determine the title in the all around. The season takes place in the women's 3,000 m, in the men's 5,000 m.
Venues
The World Championships were previously discharged from 15 different countries on four continents. With five sweeps Britain was the most frequent host, followed by Canada and the U.S. with four sweeps.

Team World Championships
From 1991 to 2011 more Team World Championships were held at the end of a season. It was attended by women and men of eight teams with a maximum of five athletes participate. The eight teams were divided into two groups. The first team of each group qualify directly for the A-final, the second - and third-placed team for the repechage and the fourth- placed team for the B-final. The first two teams in the repechage also made it to the A-final, while the third - or fourth- placed team had to compete in the B final. The runs of the preliminary groups and the repechage were completed on the first day of competition, the A and B finals at the second.
About 500 m and 1000 m occurred in four runs in each case an athlete of a country against each other. About 3000 m there was only one run, with each country began two athletes. In the relay started four runners of a country. In each race the first five points, the second three points, the third two points and the Fourth got a point. In the Season so many points were assigned twice, ten for the first season, six for the second, four for third and two for fourth. After a disqualification, no point was awarded.
