Xabier Etxeita

Xabier Etxeita Gorritxategi ( born October 31, 1987 in Ourense ) is a Spanish football player. He plays since 2013 when Athletic Bilbao in La Liga, the Spanish top flight.

Career

Etxeita began his career in the youth team of SD Amorebieta, from where he moved to the B- team of Athletic Bilbao in 2006. There he played in the Segunda División B. 2008/ 09 he was appointed to the first-team squad. His debut in La Liga countries he was 16 November 2008 against CA Osasuna. His first league goal he scored on May 23, 2009 against Atlético Madrid. In the 1:4 defeat, he scored the temporary equalizer. For the 2009/10 season he came only to a few uses, where he made his debut at European club level. In the Europa League group stage match against Werder Bremen played by the defender. The game ended 0:3. In January 2010 he was loaned to FC Cartagena. He has already seen two red cards in the previous eight games.
