XHTML SMIL

XHTML SMIL is a note ( note) of the W3C, which describes the integration of SMIL semantics in XHTML and CSS. The grade is based on the submission of HTML TIME. The language is referred to as HTML SMIL.

The XHTML SMIL language profile has many modules to the SMIL language profile in common, including the core modules timing, media objects, linking, animation, transitions and content control. Where the other SMIL profiles use a language-specific layout model, XHTML SMIL sets the HTML flow layout and CSS positioning model, a sense which is familiar to most web developers. The semantics of integrating SMIL animations in the CSS model was also used in scalable vector graphics.

XHTML SMIL was more than prepared as a W3C note as a recommendation because there was only one implementation of the language profile ( in Microsoft Internet Explorer).
