Yojiro Terada
Yojiro Terada (Japanese寺 田 阳 次郎, Yojiro Terada, born March 26, 1947 in Kobe ) is a Japanese racing driver.
Terada was from the late 1970s factory driver at Mazda and stayed with the racing department of the Japanese brand, as long as they ran their sports car program until 1992. He ran in the World Sportscar Championship, the Japanese Sports Prototype Championship, and in many major international sports car racing. He scored several class wins, as in 1979 and 1982 on a Mazda RX -7 at the 24 Hours of Daytona.
In the late 2000s, the bald Japanese racer was one of the most sought-after interview partners in the 24- hour race at Le Mans. 2008 Terada played his 29th Le Mans race. His big goal, Henri Pescarolo - who holds the record at Le Mans starts with 33 participations - catch and overtake, he has until now not managed. Terada made it in Le Mans, although never on the podium of the first three in the overall standings, but peaked in the years 1983, 1988, 1990 and 1996 a total of four class wins.
Terada operates in Tokyo Autoexe a tuning company that specializes in the upgrading of Mazda vehicles.
