Žernov (Semily District)

Žernov ( German: Schernow ) is a municipality in Okres Semily, Liberec Region in the Czech Republic.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1375.

The municipality consists of the villages Žernov Křečovice 1.díl ( Kretschowitz Part 1 ) Podtýn ( Podtein ) Proseč ( Prosetsch ) Sýkořice ( Sejkorschitz ) and Žernov ( Schernow ). Basic settlement units are Přední Proseč ( Vorderprosetsch ) Sýkořice and Žernov.
