Bendestorf
The community Bendestorf, Lower Saxony (Germany ), about 30 km south of Hamburg. It belongs to the district of Harburg, and is part of the integrated municipality Jesteburg.

Geography
The place is located a few kilometers south of the Southern Elbe. Bendestorf has its own sources that formerly fed the pool.
History
The health resort Bendestorf can look back on over 1000 years of history. First documented in the year 970, it is Bendestorf located in a small valley that extends down to the Seeve, and has approximately 2,000 inhabitants. Admits became the village after the Second World War through his film studio ( Standort53.3425249.969811 ). The name Bennedesthorp / Bendestorf is a complex place name which consists of the elements Bennedes - and - thorp. The basic word thorp based on Old Saxon thorp, Middle Low German dorp in the meaning of " village, farmstead ". Originally a Erstelement the name Bennid are primarily nickname on Bern, like Bernhard, Beringer, Berinher, Beringard, Berinfried (and others) in question. The Erstglied here is based on Old High German bero, Old Saxon bera "bear" and the short form Bennid as well as the common name Benno caused by assimilation of -r- to the subsequent n-. Assimilation is a natural process within each language.
