Geography

The districts Wuhlenburg, Rosenweide and Fliegenberg are right on the southern bank of the Elbe. The districts Achterdeich and the northern part of the capital are still in place, the march, the southern part of the main town and Ashausen and Büllhorn lie on the Geest, on the northern end of the glacial moraine on the southern edge of the Elbe- glacial valley.
