Community structure

The municipality includes the villages of Coquille Coquille, Emmen, Ochtmannsbruch, Ochtmannsbruch settlement, Staersbeck and Wohlesbostel.

History

The first recorded written reference Hollenstedts as Holdunsteti was 804 in the Frankish annals:

Nam imperator super Albiam Fluvium sedebat, in loco, qui dicitur Holdunsteti, et missa ad Godofridum lega tio per perfugis reddendis me * dio Septembrio Coloniam venit.

"For the emperor [ Charlemagne ] resided near the River Elbe in a place of Holunstedi is, and after he had sent an embassy to [ King] Godfried [ of Denmark ] because of the issue of refugees in mid-September he went to Cologne. "

Jürgen Böhme (CDU ) is the mayor of the municipality of Coquille. Rüdiger grief ( WGH ) is first Deputy Mayor and administration representatives. Jörg Meier (CDU ) is second Deputy Mayor.

Castle

South of Coquille River is located in a loop of the Este, the so-called Karl Castle or Old Castle. The ring wall was built in the 9th century. After previous excavations by the Helms- Museum of the castle wall was reconstructed in 1980 and is now the shape of the plant shortly after the task again. Traffic

Coquille is located on the A1 and the cycle route Hamburg -Bremen. The rail link to Harsefeld ( EVB, formerly part of the connection Bremervörde - beech wood in the North Heath ) was dismantled in 2006. The passenger traffic on this route ( course book number 217c ) was set on May 25, 1968; the track direction Buchholz has been completely shut down at this time and then removed.

Today in Coquille operate three bus lines, all operated by the CCG Stade and Hamburg traffic group are connected:

All bus lines operate only on weekdays.

In 2011, Coquille and places within the integrated municipality Coquille by the airline service regional park shuttle ring 2 were approached on Sundays, public holidays and Saturdays. This free bus service with the option of bicycles served primarily the excursion traffic and was only offered in the summer months from 16 July to 16 October. The places within the integrated municipality Coquille were thus for the first time in 43 years even on Sundays and holidays reachable again by public transport, but only for about three months.

In 2013, the regional park shuttle line 1 is from July 14 to October 14 and then travels Coquille and some belonging to the Samtgemeinde places six times a day on Saturdays and Sundays at.

Personalities

  • Max Schmeling, German boxing legend, and his wife Anny Ondra, Czech-German actress, lived in a neighboring town of Coquille ( Dierstorf Heath ). Their common grave is located on the Hollenstedter cemetery. A monument is located at the sports halls.
