Roman Catholic Diocese of Daru-Kiunga

The Diocese of Daru - Kiunga (Latin: Dioecesis Daruensis - Kiunganus ) is a location in Papua New Guinea Roman Catholic diocese based in Kiunga. It is located in the province of Sandaun in the northwestern part of Papua New Guinea.

History

Pope John XXIII. founded with the Apostolic Constitution by Qui electionem on 16 July 1959, the Apostolic Prefecture of Daru annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate of Port Moresby.

On November 15 1966 she was charged with the Apostolic Constitution Laeta incrementa to the diocese of Daru and on 4 September 1987, adopted its present name.
