Roman Catholic Diocese of Kavieng

The Diocese of Kavieng (Latin: Dioecesis Kaviengensis ) is a location in Papua New Guinea Roman Catholic diocese based in Kavieng. It is located in the province of Sandaun in the northwestern part of Papua New Guinea.

History

Pope Pius XII. founded with the Apostolic Constitution Cum apostolicum on July 5, 1957, the Apostolic Vicariate of Kavieng from annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate of Rabaul.

On November 15 1966 she was charged with the Apostolic Constitution Laeta incrementa to the diocese of Daru.
