Roman Catholic Diocese of Vanimo

The Diocese of Vanimo (Latin: Dioecesis Uanimitanus ) is a location in Papua New Guinea Roman Catholic diocese based in Vanimo.

History

Pope Paul VI. founded with the Apostolic Constitution Omnium Ecclesiarum on September 13, 1963, the Apostolic Prefecture of Vanimo annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate of Aitape.

With the Apostolic Constitution Laeta incrementa it was collected on 15 November 1966 bishopric.
