1965–66 Intertoto Cup
The fifth passage of the International Football Cup (IFC ) took place 1965/66. It is over 32 teams from eight European football associations involved:

- Yugoslavia Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
- Netherlands The Netherlands
- Poland Poland
- Sweden Sweden
- Switzerland Switzerland
- Czechoslovakia Czechoslovakia
Compared to the IFC 1964/65, the number of participating organizations had reduced to four. The associations from Belgium, France, Greece and Austria no longer took part in the competition.
Preliminary remarks
As in previous years return games were played in each phase. He began with the preliminary round groups consisting of eight, divided into two main regional groups. In the main group A, the Western European playing in the main group B, the Eastern European teams. The eight group winners qualified for the quarter-finals, the semi-finals on the two finals were finally achieved. With the first FC Locomotive Leipzig for the first time won a German team the trophy.
